Terms of service

These rules govern using ads4founders as an advertiser. If anything reads ambiguous, message Jorge — he'd rather rewrite a clause than litigate it.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using ads4founders, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy policy. If you're acting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" means both you and the company.

You can't use the service if you're under 18, if you're barred by law in your jurisdiction, or if you're a competitor scraping or benchmarking the platform. Continued use after a Terms update means you accept the update.

2. Definitions

"Advertiser" — anyone paying for an ad slot. "Slot" — a single rotating ad placement on the marketplace grid. "Ad content" — the logo, name, tagline, destination URL, and any other creative you submit. "Fees" — amounts payable under §6. "Ads4Founders", "we", "us" — the operator of the marketplace; sole proprietorship of Jorge Marfil. Capitalized terms not defined here carry the meaning given in the Privacy policy or in your invoice.

3. Account registration

To run an ad you need an account. Provide accurate info and keep it up to date. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including teammates you grant access to. If you spot unauthorized access, message Jorge from /contact immediately.

We may verify your business and the destination URL before going live. Misrepresenting who you are or what you sell is a material breach — slot is paused, account banned, prior fees forfeited.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break any applicable law or third-party right.
  • Submit fake metrics, fake testimonials, or fake founder identities.
  • Send bot traffic to your own ad to inflate clicks or trigger the refund clause.
  • Probe, scan, or attack the platform or any other advertiser's slot.
  • Scrape the site, the listings, the leaderboard, or the audit logs for resale.
  • Reverse-engineer the rotation algorithm to game share-of-voice.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service.

We run automated and manual fraud detection on every click. Suspect activity is excluded from billing or refunded. Repeat or material violations get the account suspended without notice.

5. Ad content policies

You grant Ads4Founders a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your ad content for the sole purpose of running your slot. You confirm you own (or have rights to) every asset you upload and that nothing infringes a third-party trademark, copyright, or privacy right.

What's not allowed, non-exhaustive:

  • Misrepresented founder identity (deepfaked photos, made-up advisors, ghost cofounders).
  • Fake KPIs in the ad copy (e.g. "50,000 users" when there are 50).
  • Malware, phishing, or cloaked destination URLs.
  • Adult content, weapons, controlled substances, MLM / pyramid / get-rich-quick schemes.
  • Misleading health, financial, or income claims (incl. crypto "guaranteed return" framing).
  • Anything that would get downvoted in r/SaaS as obvious scam.

We reject or remove ad content that violates this policy, in good faith, without liability. Borderline calls get a quick message from Jorge before any action.

6. Payment terms

Fees are billed in U.S. dollars on a flat monthly recurring basis. One spot is $299/month. Discounts for multi-spot accounts: 10% off the second spot, 20% off the third and beyond. The grandfather rate locks for the lifetime of your subscription — if the public rate rises, your active subscription doesn't.

Billing is processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Dodo handles cards, taxes, and invoicing. By subscribing, you authorize Dodo to charge your payment method on each renewal.

All fees are exclusive of indirect taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax), which are added at checkout where applicable. See /legal/vat for the jurisdiction breakdown. Disputed amounts must be raised within 30 days of the invoice or they're deemed accepted.

7. Refund policy

If your ad gets fewer than 100 clicks or 5 signups in the first 30 days, the next month is free. If the audited monthly bot rate ever drops below 95%, every advertiser gets that month free automatically. Mid-month cancels finish the billing period; no prorated refunds. Full mechanics, edge cases, and chargeback policy at /legal/refund.

8. Termination

You can cancel any time from your dashboard. The slot keeps running until the end of the billing period and isn't renewed.

We can suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, if a payment fails repeatedly, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Sections 5 through 11 survive termination. We may keep anonymized aggregate data for analytics and security per the Privacy policy.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ads4Founders and Jorge Marfil personally from any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your use of the service, (b) your ad content or destination URL, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right. We may take over the defense of any covered claim at our expense; if we do, you cooperate. You won't settle anything without our written consent.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: Ads4Founders is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill — arising from the service. Total aggregate liability is capped at the greater of US$100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Madrid, Spain. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Claims must be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action, to the maximum extent permitted by law. If any clause of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms. The current version always lives at this URL. Material changes get notified by email and an in-product banner at least 14 days before they take effect. By continuing to use the service after the effective date, you accept the revised Terms. If anything reads ambiguous, message Jorge from /contact — he'd rather rewrite a clause than litigate it.
